Durban, South Africa

W2

Warehouse 2 is the sister building to the first warehouse built at the Proud Heritage Clothing Campus in Briardene, Durban.

The design extends the robust yet expressive modern vocabulary established in Warehouse one, but adds a slightly more feminine touch. Clearly siblings, the two relate to one another in materiality and through key lines.

The design of the west facade incorporates a custom-designed bird-proof bris soleil to filter harsh sunlight into the warehouse. The bird-proof concrete blocks were devised in-house and manufactured locally by the split-face concrete block manufacturers, PCP.
